Encourager
When we choose to ENCOURAGE someone we are positioning ourselves to provide them with support. Our encouragement potentially gives them hope for future success in their lives.
At MSCS we choose to be ENCOURAGERS. Hebrews 3:13 says, “But encourage one another day after day, as long as it is still called “Today,” so that none of you will be hardened by the deceitfulness of sin.”
We recognize and choose to live with the mandate that we are to provide support day by day. “Daily” means that our encouragement should be habitual. Encouragement is a part of who we are and because of that, encouragement just naturally flows out of us.
In light of the fact that the writer to Hebrews says, “as long as it is called ‘today’”, we realize that there is an urgency to our actions and words. We don’t hesitate and wait for someone else to do what we can do. Someone needs a person like us from MSCS to come alongside and ENCOURAGE them. Our encouragement has a result and that is, it may just keep someone falling prey to the enemy of our souls tactic of discouragement.
