We value the partnership with parents at MSCS and volunteers are essential for many of our school events to function.
"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms. If anyone speaks, they should do so as one who speaks the very words of God. If anyone serves, they should do so with the strength God provides, so that in all things God may be praised through Jesus Christ. To him be the glory and the power for ever and ever. Amen." 1 Peter 4:10-11
Menno Simons Christian School (MSCS) is a school that emphasizes community, service, peacemaking, and the centrality of Christ at the core. Our mission clearly states, "Together with the family and the church, Menno Simons Christian School offers an education for life, preparing students for effective participation in the community through Christian discipleship, service and peacemaking." Partnership with the parents is what builds and fosters community at MSCS; it is this community that makes MSCS a safe and caring environment to raise our children.
MSCS recognizes the endless hours that many families have volunteered to build the MSCS community to what it is today. Through this partnership with students and their families MSCS has been able to offer a variety of programs and services that would otherwise be impossible. As a parent, your commitment to volunteer at MSCS will be remembered by your children for years to come; volunteering in your child's school adds a richness to their education that will be a part of your legacy. Your commitment to volunteer also has impact on the other children and families at MSCS and will continue to be paid forward in years to come.
Volunteer Opportunities
MSCS recognizes that each family has different gifts, talents and ability. In recognition of this MSCS has a variety of volunteer opportunities that range in responsibility, time commitment and location.
