Enthusiasm
The Cambridge dictionary defines enthusiasm as, “a feeling of energetic interest in a particular subject or activity and an eagerness to be involved in it.”
At Menno Simons Christian School when we think about enthusiasm we reference the words of the Apostle Paul in Colossians 3:23 where he says, “Whatever you do, do your work heartily, as for the Lord rather than for men,” (NASB)
We at Menno Simons are committed to doing the very best we can in all things not so that we will be congratulated by the people around us but so that the God of Heaven will be honored. We have an eagerness about us that propels us to do whatever we are doing with all of our strength for the right reason. That reason is that we are aware that the Lord Jesus is present in every way in whatever we may be involved in. We do not categorize our actions into spiritual and natural tasks because every action is dignified and sweetened by the thought that we are doing it all “to the Lord”.
